OUR HISTORY
Headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, eQHealth Solutions is a multi-state health care quality improvement company conducting business in three states: Mississippi, Louisiana and Illinois. Founded in 1986, we currently provide medical management service for the Medicaid programs in Mississippi and Illinois and we are the quality improvement organization (QIO) for Medicare in Louisiana under contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of services to our clients including care management, utilization review, quality improvement, wellness services and quality reviews for home and community based services waivers. We are also a leader in helping health care providers adopt health information technology to improve the care they provide.

The result is we have achieved an impeccable track record of helping health care providers achieve transformational improvements in health care quality.

Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)

Since 1986, we have held a contract with the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as the Quality Improvement Organization for Louisiana. In 2008, we were awarded two additional Medicare contracts by CMS. We were one of only a few select states to receive these two new contracts.

Medicaid Programs

Beginning in 1997, we began providing medical management services for state Medicaid programs. We have almost 14 years of experience with the Mississippi Department of Medicaid, a nine year relationship with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and new relationship beginning in 2011 with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).

In-House Technology Support

Our in-house information technology staff assures clients that we do not require outside assistance for programming changes. This reduces costs and increases customer satisfaction. Thus, our clients can get special reports in real time and we can make programming changes in days instead of months.
